Typical characteristics of the so-called Martelé - the surface produced by the driving hammer - are the striking marks that are not removed, but left as a decorative element. This technique was popular in the Art Deco era between the World Wars, but was re-recorded in the later 20th century.

Elegantly shaped wine cups from the 1960s. Conical wall, Kuppa gilded inside. Whole body hammered, so-called Martelé technique. Marked, made in Germany, master mark probably Carsten Frölich around 1960.
