A butter pan is ideal for gently melting butter and serving the butter sauce at the table. The shape of the mini casserole, with a long handle and no lid, is also found among the antique cooking utensils. Especially noble in solid silver.
A Butterpfännchen from the gold and silver city Schwäbisch Gmünd. Tapered base with corded frieze, bulging wall with spout and attached wooden handle. Marked, manufactured by Jakob Grimminger, Schwäbisch Gmünd, around 1920. Jakob Grimminger worked in the years 1893-1939 as a silversmith and craftsman in Schwäbisch Gmünd.
