Antique pendant with coloured stone in 925/- silver
In the late Art Deco period around 1930, beautiful large silver pendants were created, set with strikingly colourful, faceted gemstones or stones made of glass paste. The wide frame has a strictly geometric or abstract design. The shape is usually oval, highly rectangular or with cut corners. Wide chain loops carry a decoration matching the frame.
Large openwork pendant with bright blue coloured stone. High rectangular, trapezoidal shape with cut corners. In the centre a faceted stone of glass paste in a bezel setting, surrounded by a frame with abstract floral and geometric decoration. High chain eyelet. Open back. Including an elaborate, long chain. Marked, master's mark not legible. Probably Pforzheim. Made around 1930.
