Marius Hammer was born in 1847. In 1871 he opened his workshop in his native city of Bergen, which existed until 1927. Hammer was a contemporary of Faberge and is considered one of the most important silversmiths in Norway. He was best known for his high quality silverware and jewelry.
Filigree Art Nouveau bracelet from Norway. The elements are made by hand using filigree silver and cord wire soldering, decorated with cobalt blue enamel and then gold-plated. Lock with spring ring. Marked, stamp devious, but probably made by Marius Hammer, Bergen / Norway, around 1900.
