Bracelet in 250/- gold set with garnets
Standard gold or standard metal is a gold alloy with a gold content of less than 8 carats, or less than 333/- thousandths parts. The remaining part of the alloy consists of silver and copper. Norm gold was used around 1900 for the inexpensive production of garnet jewellery. Especially bangles and bracelets, but also necklaces, earrings and rings were made of it.
Art nouveau bracelet in 250/- gold (standard gold) and garnet stones. Six elements, each set with 5 garnet navettes in claw settings are connected with eyelets. Clasp with safety chain. Condition very good!
