Antique Bracelet in 250/- Gold with Garnet Set
Standard gold or standard metal is a gold alloy with a gold content of less than 8 carats, or less than 333/- thousandths parts. The remaining part of the alloy consists of silver and copper. Norm gold was used around 1900 for the inexpensive production of garnet jewellery. Especially bangles and bracelets, but also necklaces, earrings and rings were made of it.
Art nouveau bracelet in 250/- gold (standard gold) and shining, bohemian garnet stones around 1900. In the geometrical shaped elements stones were mounted in toothed knob settings, in the middle a splendid blossom was composed. Condition very good!
