The dark red stone, which even flames when exposed to light, has always been a sought-after gemstone. Around the turn of the century and after the First World War, garnet was lovingly worked into necklaces, brooches and other pieces of jewellery. People created jewellery with precious stones that did not have to be imported. Like the garnet from Bohemia.

The fine workmanship in gold double and the classic art nouveau design is again very much in vogue today. The necklace was made in Germany. Spring ring clasp.
