Vintage Pill Box in Silver 800/-
Imaginative, pretty oval pillbox with an unusual motif from Greek mythology. On the hinged lid a scene between Apollo with his lyre and Athena with the Aulus flute in musical competition. In the centre the three beauties in dance. The border of the scene shows a cross band, the walls of the sides show a pattern of rocailles. Gilded interior. Marked, maker's mark not legible, probably around 1900. Condition due to age and use, but no damage.
