Antique Silver Plated Napkin or Baguette Tray
Rare silver plated metal tray circa 1900. Elegantly shaped footed bowl. The oval bowl rests on graceful, curved feet. It has a recessed, openwork mirror and a slightly rising flag with a scalloped rim. Decorated with elaborately engraved leaf decoration. In England the tray was used for cloth napkins, in France and Italy also as a tray for baguettes or grissinis. Made by Elkington in Sheffield with the year Q for 1902. Condition excellent, hardly any user marks.
