Antique Pie Lifter in 13 Lot (812,5/-) Silver
Museal pastry or petit fours lifter in silver. Pointed oval form, richly openworked and finely chiselled. In the centre of the oval a depiction from Greek mythology "Ganymede, watering the eagle of Zeus", as well as abstract foliage and tendrils. Tapered handle receptacle with shell decoration. Profiled ebony handle. Made of 13 lots (812.5/-) of silver. Town mark of Weinheim an der Bergstraße, master Georg Friedrich Oelschläger circa 1820. Excellent condition, worthy of a museum and collection.
