Rare fish lifter in silver, circa 1820. Kidney-shaped oval spoon with an openwork rim of chiselled tendrils, finely engraved depiction of a pike in the centre. Pointed stop for the handle and ebonised wooden handle. Marked with the Parisian "Vieillard" guarantee mark and "Cérès" control mark for 950/- silver from the period between 1819 - 1838. Unidentifiable maker's mark on the reverse. Excellent condition, collectible!
