Antique necklace in 585/- gold with amethysts and pearls
The violet colour of amethyst already captivated many people in ancient times - mysterious and mystical, located between the colour red, which stands for emotion and love, and the cool and quiet blue. Dark violet stones are considered particularly valuable.
Beautiful art nouveau necklace from the early years of the Friedrich Binder jewellery manufactory in Monsheim. A faceted amethyst in a frame setting hangs from a golden chain. Three rod-shaped, movable elements are attached to it, each of which is decorated with seed pearls at the joints. These carry circular elements in which eight pearls have been installed in the centre. In the centre is a large faceted amethyst in a bezel setting. Marked, made around 1910 by the Friedrich Binder jewellery manufactory in Monsheim. Condition very good.
