A beautiful brooch from the middle of the 20th century. It is made in 925 silver and was made in Norway. The brooch belongs to the "Silver Series", a series of jewelery produced by the Norwegian silversmith David-Andersen.
The David-Andersen company was founded in 1876 in Christiana (now Oslo) by David Andersen. Andersen (1843 - 1901) was a goldsmith and silversmith who was successful early on due to his abilities and the high quality of his products. The company is still family owned and today is run by fourth-generation family members: Uni and Jon David-Andersen. The brooch is a work of the fourth generation of the family David Andersen. Uni David-Anderson is the designer of this unique brooch.
The simple design of the brooch makes it a timeless classic. Scandinavian jewelry is very much in demand today. Through the brands, the time of manufacture can be dated from 1959.
