The "GERMONDE Werkstätten" factory in CHARLIEU in the LOIRE in FRANCE was famous for the production of their trays of exceptional quality. Germonde was a very productive French painter between 1910 and 1930. His signature can often be found on platters and trays with landscapes. This is one of the more unusual pieces of his time and signed by the artist. The frame and handles of the tray have been forged by hand, the feet are reminiscent of curled foliage. Works by Germonde are now part of French folk art from the period of Arts & Crafts and Art Deco and are sought after by collectors.Good antique condition with only minor signs of wear and age-related wear.
