Antique jewelry for women from our inventory
In the second half of the 19th century, during the period of historicism, every earlier epoch in art history was used as a model to provide new designs. Pieces were created in shapes that were inspired by antiquity, Gothic, Baroque and Rococo.
Magnificent brooch from the period of historicism. The brooch consists of three large, faceted amethysts, which were assembled next to each other in the finest prong settings, whereby the middle stone was squared and the two side ones were cut in teardrop shape. The edges of the brooch are adorned with filigree elements that have been covered with seed pearls. Back with stable binding. Made in Germany, around 1880. Silver 800 / -, very good condition.
