Jorma Laine (1930-2002) did not begin until she was 30 in the 1960s and was able to establish herself as one of Finland's most talented jewelry designers. He worked with sought-after manufacturers such as Kultateollisuus Ky and later in the 1970s with Turun Hopea.
His bronze works are the most famous, objects in gold or silver are rather rare.
Rare silver sombrero pendant with chain by Jorma Laine for Turun Hopea from 1973. Modernist pendant with an abstract design reminiscent of a Mexican sombrero. The surface is decorated with dotted and partially blackened silver. Pure handcraft. Marked, condition very good.
