In Art Deco, the Finnish silversmith Kustaa Severin Sahlstedt from Turku embodied the image of the natural man, who acts in poetic dialogue and in harmony with the wilderness. Much of his inspiration was absorbed and internalized in the lonely and unspoilt vastness of Lapland. It is the forms and surface structures that appear abstract and at the same time natural in his works. The uncompromising shapes repeatedly testify to the fact that Scandinavia is home to talented jewelry designers, whose products must not be missing in any jewelry collection.
