Brooch with coral in 800 silver
Art Nouveau brought completely new shapes and colors to jewelry. The jewelry museum Pforzheim exhibits many works from the Art Nouveau period. Around 1900 the city of Pforzheim was the jewelery center of Germany; the most famous jewelery manufacturers in the country worked there, such as Theodor Fahrner, Levinger & Bissinger, F. Zerrener or Andreas Odenwald. In 1900, jewelry factories from Pforzheim were represented at the World Exhibition in Paris for the first time.
Elegant, pretty women's brooch from the Art Nouveau era. Geometric, oblong-rectangular shape. In the midst of plastic water lilies in silver, three small red corals have been set to represent the flowers. Unmarked, made around 1900. Very good condition!
