Antique powder compact with enamelling in 925 silver
From 1900 powder compacts belonged in the handbag of every woman who knew how to put on make-up. Special and expensive work was done in silver. Today there is great demand for well-preserved antique objects. Powder compacts that are enamelled are particularly rare. This powder compact in silver was additionally covered with a bright green guilloché enamel. The top and bottom of the box is richly decorated, the inside is gold-plated. The hinged lid is decorated with an openwork medallion in silver with a floral motif. Excellent craftsmanship. The mirror on the inside is damaged, but precisely because of this it emphasizes the overall charm of the box. Marked with an Austrian export stamp around 1900.
