Wilhelm Binder's silverware factory was founded in Schwäbisch Gmünd in 1868. It was one of the largest in its field in the city and produced high-quality flat and corpus silverware that was exported all over the world. Today, these are highly sought-after by collectors and museums.
Magnificent Art Nouveau jardinière. Transverse oval form with a moving contour and openwork rims. Two figurative handles in geometric form. On the wall, surrounded by palmettes, two opposite women in flowing robes. In the centre a cartouche with a beautiful monogram. The jardiniere stands on abstract feet. Inside a matching, removable insert of transparent crystal glass. Marked, made in the silverware factory Wilhelm Binder in Schwäbisch Gmünd around 1900. Very good condition with age appropriate patina, no damage to the glass! Museum and collectible!
