Exceptional cigarette case from the Art Nouveau period in silver 800/- from Austria. Rectangular, slightly bulbous basic form. On the hinged lid elaborate engraving of a spider's web, in front of it an engraved spider whose body was formed from natural sapphires. Without engraving on the back, gilded on the inside. Marked, made by Kurzer & Wolf, Vienna/Austria, 1908 - 1922. Condition very good, absolutely collectible.
