The Art Nouveau designer Christian Seybold created elaborate and impressive pieces of jewellery of the highest quality craftsmanship in Pforzheim around 1900. The pieces of jewellery were only produced in very limited numbers and are today found almost exclusively among collectors and museums.
Absolutely rare Art Nouveau brooch from Pforzheim around 1900. Curved body, surface partly hammered and segmented polished, in addition tiny filigree braiding details at the edges. Set in the centre with a chrysoprase and 2 moonstones. A pendant of filigree chains with attached natural pearls complete the piece of jewellery. Brooched and marked on the back with "Depose", " Sterling 935" and the maker's mark of Christian Seybold. Condition very good with age appropriate patina. Without defects. Museal and collectible!
