Art Deco Signet Ring in 333/- Gold with Layeredonyx
The signet ring was originally used to seal documents. This involved dripping liquid wax onto the documents to be sealed and pressing the signet ring into the still soft wax. The sealing plate can be made of precious metal (silver, gold) or semi-precious stones such as carnelian or layered onyx.
Very elegant men's signet ring with a blue layered onyx. Square, unengraved stone plate with rounded corners, in a bezel setting. Wide ring band formed in the course. Condition very good!
