6 antique mocha spoons in 875/- silver
Adolph Amberg (1874 Hanau - Berlin 1913), attended the drawing academy of his hometown in the years 1884/85, then the teaching institute of the Berlin Museum of Decorative Arts. After a stay in Paris, where he attended the Académie Julian, he moved to the Royal Academy of Arts in Berlin. There he was a master student of Louis Tuaillon.
Six Art Nouveau mocha spoons in silver, designed by Adolph Amberg around 1900. Fluted handles with figural relief depictions of a musician with the Aulus flute after antiquity. Gilt scoops, the reverse with a pretty monogram. Finish with unknown maker's mark and barely legible 84 zolotniki pay mark for 875/- silver. Excellent condition, collectible!
