Antique Smoker Set Erhard & Sons around 1905
A fantastically beautiful 4-piece Art Nouveau smoker set from the Erhard & Söhne workshop in Schwäbisch Gmünd. Square tray with a walnut border, inside a rosewood inlay, decorated with finest brass inlays. Two geometrically shaped handles made of brass. In addition, two eight-pocket containers to hold cigarettes and cigars and an eight-pocket ashtray, which stand on ball feet and are also decorated with rosewood and fine brass inlays. Probably designed by Jakob Wilhelm Fehrle, who trained as a chaser at Erhard & Söhne from 1899 to 1903. The inlay work by Erhard & Söhne was offered in the 1905 factory catalogue. Excellent condition, museum and collectible!
