Gorgeous footed caviar bowl from the georgian time / empire time. Cross-shaped base with four tongue-shaped feets; slim shaft. Heavy bulging bowl with wide collar rim; high domed hinged lid with knob and opening for the spoon; high, heavy bent band-shaped handle. Body rich decorated with antique acanthus relief and cord friezes. On the wall engraved ligated monogram "DGM". Inside of the bowl and the lid gold plated; gold plated spoon bowl. Marked: bowl made by Hans Josef Pill in Copenhagen, dated 1833, spoon made in England, London, dated 1807.
