Wonderful Art Nouveau brooch with plique-a-jour enamel. Floral-abstract shape, filled in the centre with a high domed round amethyst cabochon in bezel setting. Space between the tendrils is filled with green-violet translucent enamel. The brooch is further decorated with three blister pearls and a chain. Back side with needle closure. Marked only with silver hallmark. Design indicates the jewelry manufactory of Levinger & Bissinger in Pforzheim/Germany, about 1904-1909. See "Art Nouveau Jewellery from Pforzheim" by Fritz Falk.
