Loved and used pillbox in 800/- silver with enamel painting. Square basic form with bulging sides and rounded corners from the Art Nouveau around 1900. On the hinged lid depiction of a colourful iris in artistically fine enamel painting. Remains of gilding on the inside. Marked, made by Franz Mosgau, Berlin, around 1900. Condition with clear traces of use from about 120 years (see pictures), nevertheless lovely and collectible.
