A girl kneels in front of a butterfly. In her left hand she holds a grey pot and in her right a fine brush with which she is colourfully painting the butterfly.
This magnificent work of art was produced in 1914/20 at the Aeltesten Volkstedter Porzellanmanufaktur in collaboration with the Schwarzburger Werkstätte für Porzellankunst. The figure was designed by the artist Georg Wolf, who also signed the porcelain. It also has press marks and a blue underglaze mark. Condition very good, no chips.
