An exquisite wine goblet from the heyday of Art Deco, made from the finest 800 silver, presents itself here as a true masterpiece of silversmithing. The goblet begins with an elegant, rising round platter base that combines stability and grace. This merges harmoniously into a multi-segmented, conical wall, which forms the centrepiece of the goblet and gives it a sublime, majestic appearance.
The skilfully crafted wall leads to a spherical, slightly bulbous bowl, which is gently curved and has a smooth rim. This design not only gives the goblet a perfect shape, but also a functional elegance that makes the enjoyment of wine a special experience. The inside of the goblet is finished with shimmering gold plating, which gives the fine drop an additional warm and luxurious touch.
The goblet bears the master's mark of Jakob Grimminger, a renowned silversmith and craftsman who worked in Schwäbisch Gmünd between 1893 and 1939. Created around 1930, this piece reflects the outstanding craftsmanship and aesthetic flair of Grimmlinger, who was able to capture the elegance and splendour of the Art Deco era in his work.
