A cocktail shaker is a mixing cup for the preparation of cocktails. It is primarily used to mix the liquid ingredients by shaking vigorously and to cool them with ice cubes or pieces of ice. The three-part shaker consists of a cup, an attachment with an integrated sieve that fits flush into the metal cup, and a cap.

Large cocktail shaker with a glass body and silver-plated mount. Slightly conical body with rounded shoulder, straight, cylindrical neck with mount, high slip lid. Marked. Made in England around 1950. Excellent condition.
