Magnificent art nouveau wine carafe by WMF. Round, bulbous body with cut and etched floral decoration. Ornate mount with floral decoration of pewter and duckbill spout. Marked, manufactured by WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik), rare OX mark for oxidised silver plating around 1900. The designers included Hans Peter, Albert Meyer, Hermann Obrist, Albin Müller and Peter Behrens. No chips, patina due to age, collectible!
