Dolphins have been used as symbols for a very long time. Above all, they are seen as rescuers for shipwrecked people. In ancient Greece it was believed that dolphins bring deceased warriors to the island of eternal bliss ... how should it be otherwise: these lucky motifs should never be missing on candlesticks from Spain - one of the great seafaring nations!
A pair of beautiful candlesticks in 915 / - silver. Round, gadronized base, on top of which is an imaginative figure of a dolphin with a gadronized candle holder on its tail. Marked, made in Spain after 1934.
