A beautiful pair of Biedermeier candlesticks on an angular foot with indented wall, baluster shaft and pressed nodi, removable spout. Unknown maker's mark "M", fuming mark: B (Ch. F. Deppe 1842-1847), letter K, Berlin, mid 19th century, silver (tremulier stitch), unfilled. Cf. Scheffler: Berlin Goldsmiths, No. 19.
