The meander is a wavy line ornament, found on art and ornaments, in architecture and on clothing. It owes its name to the typical many curvatures and bends. This was taken from the name of the Greek river Maiandros, whose course was known for its numerous river loops.
This beautiful and high-quality necklace in 585 / - gold is made of numerous, broken meander links. The bi-color work is particularly complex. After each white gold member follow two yellow gold members. It optimally adapts to the wearer. The surface of the necklace is shiny polished and marked on the lock with safety bar. Manufacturer unknown. Production year from the 1970s.
