Large Swivel Jug with Teapot Warmer in 925/- Silver
Magnificent, large swinging teapot (teapot) from the late Victorian period in London. Voluminous ribbed body with bulging base and decorated rim. Recessed domed hinged lid with wooden knob. Long, curved spout. Overhanging handle with acanthus relief and rosewood grip. Two brackets for the swivel mechanism. Curved stand with three paw feet on wooden supports and holder for the burner. All elements in silver (pay stamp). Marked, made in London in 1896 by Walter & Charles Sissons. Excellent condition!
