Exceptionally beautiful, large bowl in silver from the Art Deco period. Typical modern design by Svend Weihrauch from Denmark from 1935. As a designer, he was already appreciated during his lifetime as an outstanding representative of functionalism, also internationally, as at the world exhibitions in Brussels 1935, Paris 1937 and New York 1939.
Round, bulged bowl in 830 silver Abstractly simple handle with round inlaid discs of brown bakelite, decorated in the centre with a silver pearl. Marked with the Danish hallmark for silver 830 and the year (19)35. Marked with the Beschaumeister mark of Johannes Siggaard. Excellent condition!
