A tureen with a rotating lid is something very special. Here you can keep food warm and at the same time perfect portioning. The elegant handling thus enormously simplifies serving.
This particular version of a small tureen with rotating lid was made around 1900 in England. The transverse-oval-bellied body of the turnover (or Bacon Dish) is richly decorated with floral ornaments, typical of the decors of the Victorian era. Particularly striking are the four feet that represent fantasy beings.Unmarked, production around 1900.
