Small, decorative mocha jug from Paris between 1841 - 51. Teardrop-shaped body with fluted walls and matching hinged lid with decorative knob. High, stepped foot. Long, curved and very decorative pouring tube. Plastic handle made of rocailles. Pretty engravings with elaborate floral decorations and an unengraved cartridge. Marked with the maker's mark by Phillipe Berthier, Paris 1841 - 51 and a French Mercury head for export goods 1840 - 79, as well as another illegible mark. Excellent condition, absolutely worth collecting!
