Small, simple jug from the early Biedermeier period and curved wooden handle in rosewood. High, stepped foot and round, bulged body with a protruding mouth.

Stamped on the bottom with the maker's mark WCH & S for Wilhelm Conrad Hessenberg & Sons, Frankfurt / M, active 1814-1893. Additional brands for 13 lot (.812.5 silver) and a Dutch import assay brand.
