Antique cruet around 1850 in 13 lots of silver
Magnificent cruet from the mid-19th century in typical late Biedermeier decor. Frame: Four feet shaped in leaf tendrils, oval, bulged body that tapers upwards. Richly pierced in the taper. Base with cord edge, a high handle in the middle, surrounded by ring-shaped brackets with cord edge for containers for vinegar and oil and additional shelves for the plugs. Crystal glass container. Frame decorated with wide, intertwined ribbons with diamond-shaped floral motifs. In the middle is a medallion with owner's initials. Glass container with multi-peeled walls and richly polished shoulders. Marked at 13, manufacturer unknown, Germany, around 1850. Condition: silver elements with noble patina. No chips on the glass. A wonderful antique ensemble!
