Martin Mayer Mainz and Pforzheim was a bijouterie manufacturer for whom well-known designers such as Peter Behrens, Hans Christiansen and Patriz Huber worked. Elaborate exhibits were made here in Art Nouveau style, which can be found today in various museums and are sought after by collectors.

Beautiful Art Nouveau brooch with turquoise. Round shape, in the middle a frog in the reed grass, set with turquoises in different sizes. Marked, manufactured in Martin Mayer's famous jewelry factory in Mainz, around 1900. Slight patina, condition very good.
