Martin Mayer Mainz and Pforzheim was a manufacturer of costume jewellery and silverware for whom renowned artists such as Peter Behrens, Hans Christiansen and Patriz Huber worked. Here, elaborate exhibits were produced in the Art Nouveau style, which can be found in various museums today and are coveted by collectors.

Extraordinary trumpet vase from the Art Nouveau period. Flat stand base, arched base on top, tapered centre and decorated with knotted cord band. Bell-shaped lip with wavy rim. Marked on the base with the Martin Mayer, Mainz hallmark, circa 1900. Condition very good with age appropriate patina, collectible!
