Necklace in 830/- silver with enamel decor
Theodor Fahrner (1859-1919) was a famous jewellery manufacturer from Pforzheim. He was one of the pioneers of Art Nouveau jewellery and was one of the first jewellery manufacturers in Europe to commission freelance artists (designers) to design the jewellery he produced. He succeeded in turning his father's largely insignificant ring factory into one of the most creative jewellery firms in Europe.
Superb necklace from the Art Deco period. Consisting of fan-like elements, soldering with corded wire, decorated with coloured mat enamel and round coral cabochons. Chain in silver with spring ring clasp. Unmarked, probably designed by Gustav Braendle, made in the famous jewellery factory of Theodor Fahrner in Pforzheim around 1925.
