Antique cobalt blue wine glass made of crystal glass with gold decoration - Moser, Karlovy Vary around 1880
This magnificent antique wine glass is an exquisite wine glass from the famous Moser manufactory in Karlovy Vary, created around 1880 - an artistically designed work of glass art with high collector's quality.
Made from high-quality crystal glass, the glass has an elegant, classic shape: the hexagonal faceted, trumpet-shaped stem flows smoothly into a tulip-shaped, multi-part bowl, which is underlaid in blue and ends in delicate medallion shapes.
The upper lip rim is polished and gilded, below which a finely cut, gilded floral decoration runs across the medallions and the spaces between them - a detailed decorative frieze that lends this glass its elegant ornamentation.
The base is decorated with ray cuts, surrounded by a gilded border that harmoniously completes the overall picture. The polished base has a rounded edge - a typical sign of craftsmanship.
This high-quality collector's glass is in excellent condition, without chips or chipping. It is a classic example of the luxurious glass art of the late 19th century and was published in:
Jan Mergl, Moser 1857-1997.
A prestigious piece for lovers of historical glassware, for the stylish table or as a fine gift for connoisseurs.
