English spice set in sterling silver and cobalt glass
Nice spice set in an original box, consisting of two shakers, as well as two spice bowls and a mustard pot with associated small spoons. The bowls and the mustard pot have original cobalt blue glass inserts. The bodies each stand on profiled stand rings and are decorated with elaborate breakthrough work. Marked, made in Birmingham, in 1920/21. Master's mark William Base. The spoons of the spice bowls were drawn by Phillip Phillips (1826-1834!) In London. The inside of the box is lined with dark blue velvet and satin. Excellent general condition, original blue glass inserts, no chips! In 925 / - sterling silver and cobalt glass
