Classicist Teapot in Sterling Silver 925/-
Large antique teapot in solid silver from the reign of George III. Following the fashion of the French Empire, this teapot was made by Solomon Hougham in London in 1806. Decorated with various floral motifs, rocailles and a meander band, the oval body stands on ball feet. Recessed domed lid with decorated ebony knob. The heat-insulating handle with thumb stop was also made of blackened ebony. Condition very good in museum quality, collectible!
