The combination of gold, precious stones and pearls was very popular in the 19th century. Especially in England at the end of the Victorian era, imaginative pieces of jewellery were created to match the opulent clothing of a style that was coming to an end.
Beautiful antique scissors bracelet with precious stones. Gold doublé in rose gold gilding, fine ornamental links with multiple shaped show side. Centre finely openworked with genuine opals and small seed pearls, in the centre a small ruby. Bracelet stretchable by scissor mechanism. Normal wear, Historism circa 1880.
