Wonderfully shaped, unique, large punch ladle from the USA! Flat spoon with playful contours, elegant shaft with ornate geometric handle: abstract flowers and banding on a matt hatched background. Approaches decorated with acanthus leaves and flowers. Originally matte gold-plated bowl. Early brand of the WHITING MANUFACTURING COMPANY, around 1880, unknown design brand 2. Distributed by J. Stevenson & Son in Philadelphia. Condition: very good, gilding easily visible.
