Rich decorated salt and pepper shaker from America. Flat stand, spherical body, high cylindrical neck and stackable, high domed lid with knob and perforation. Body rich decorated with repusse and engraved flowers, acanthus leaves and arcs. Neck with gadrooned decor. Marked, made by Gorham silver from Providence/Rhode Island, in 1863-1890 (probably 1887). Condition: slightly patina, still very good. Wonderful silversmiths masterwork!
